SKILLS REQUIRED:
- At least one year apartment cleaning experience, or related work experience with verifiable references.
- Demonstrated efficient time management for accomplishment of tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the safe and proper use of chemicals and cleaning compounds, plus basic safety procedures for work around electrical appliances.
- A positive, helpful attitude and willingness to take direction.
- A pleasant manner with good verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and flexibility.
APPEARANCE:
- Project a helpful, friendly attitude.
- Well groomed with excellent personal hygiene.
- Appropriately dressed; uniform may be required.
PHYSICAL CAPACITY:
Must be physically able and fit to perform all duties routinely required with no limitations as to weight lifted, bending, working in confined spaces or on elevated surfaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Details of cleaning duties are outlined separately. In addition, you will be expected to maintain a reasonable inventory of cleaning supplies, draperies and other items necessary to restore apartment units. You are required to wear gloves, protective clothing, masks, etc. when appropriate for personal safety, and, to participate in safety training classes.
The cleaning personnel are responsible for the cleaning and detailing of the apartments, buildings and such other areas as designated by the manager.
This position is compensated on an hourly basis, non-exempt category.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Daily Duties:
Laundry rooms:
- wipe all machines inside and out;
- folding tables cleaned;
- empty garbage;
- sweep and wash floors.
Clean Apartments:
- Kitchen: Oven, broiler pans, racks, under burners, drip pans. Elements wiped and burned off. Hood above cleaned, vent fan light bulb, shine when done.
- Refrigerator: Freezer, ice trays, racks, food drawers, butter compartment, rubber gaskets around door — and drip pan under fridge. Clean outside and shine.
- Dishwasher: Rubber gasket on door, inside of washer, clean and shine.
- Cabinets and Drawers: Washed inside and out, then Liquid Gold applied. And any other woodwork.
- Counters washed: Sink washed and shined.
- Floor swept and washed.
- Bathroom: Tub and enclosure; shower doors cleaned and shined; soap dish; all faucets shined.
- Toilets: Tank top to blots in floor.
- Sink, mirrors, cabinets and towel bars shined.
- Heat lamps, light fixture, fan, floor washed.
- Liquid Gold applied to woodwork.
Bedroom:
- Windows and tracks cleaned.
- Curtain rod washed down.
- Closet shelves and floor washed, and closet bar dusted.
Misc.:
- All light fixtures washed.
- All light plates washed and put back.
- Curtain rods, closets, storage closet wiped out and off.
- Fireplace cleaned out.
- Hang drapes, dust wood trim, apply Liquid Gold to woodwork.
- Patios swept; vacuum carpets.
- Outside of front door washed.
- All outside fixtures removed and cleaned.
- Remove all cobwebs outside.
- Storage area cleaned.
- Entry and walkway to unit swept.
Weekly Duties:
- Models Cleaned: Vacuum, dust, clean windows and tracks, pictures, sweep entry to model.
- Sweep floor and wash, and clean inside windows.
- Cabana: Clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, sweep, wash and wax floors, clean windows.
- Clean stairways.
Monthly Duties:
- Laundry rooms: Light fixtures taken down and washed; windows and tracks; walls washed; floors washed and waxed; machines washed inside and out and behind and between machines.
- Jacuzzi: Light fixtures washed; fan cleaned; outside of all windows; floors washed.
- Recreation Room and Common Area: Light fixtures taken down and washed; windows and tracks; floors washed and waxed; carpet spot cleaned or shampooed.
